UCLA or UOP? I'm thinking of pharm but NOT absolutely sure. Lets say i do go to LA; is it more difficult to get into a graduate school? Oh yeah, I also got into the six year program for pharm for UOP. Then parents want me to go to UC Berekeley... aiya, i'm super confused. Originally, I had my heart set on UOP, but no one really supported my decision... so yeah.. Help? Please?

In general, UCLA is a much better school than UOP, so getting into graduate school should be much easier. I do know some people who went to UOP and enjoyed it, but academically it is not that strong. Academically, there is very little difference between UCLA and UC Berkeley, so my guess is that you really want to move away from home and your parents want you nearby? One other factor, though, is your maturity level, because handling schools as large as UCLA or UC Berkeley is difficult for many people who have been more sheltered and aren't as independent. I went to UCLA for two years and found it lonely, so I ended up transferring. I went back to UCLA for graduate school, when I was a bit older, and enjoyed it much more.

Obviously you already know that UOP is a great pharmacy school. If you're not sure, then I don't suggest you go to UOP. UCLA and Cal will have much to offer as well. I would say that UCLA and Cal would give you a better "college experience" as well as name recognition when you start looking for jobs if that is something important to you. If you decide to go to UOP, it doesn't mean that you have to do pharmacy. All colleges offer a variety of majors that you will be able to choose from.
