I feel like I will always be young at heart and never act old., but we are all going to face death at some point in our lives. Instead of letting older people make you sad, think about how blessed they have been to live a long life. Elderly people can be very interesting to talk to if you just give them a bit of your time. They have experienced the first car, the first telephone, lived through a world war and things we can't even imagine going through. I consider them blessed to have had such long lives. You don't ever have to act old no matter what your age. My mother in law is 85 years old, still works 6 days a week, is more energetic than I am, dresses very fashionably, not like an old lady and has kept her great figure all these years. She loves to spend her time around young people and still is a lot of fun. It's up to us how we choose to grow older. Each stage of life teaches us something new and the older we get the wiser we become. I wish you a long, healthy, happy life.

Ok, this is a psych. 101 question...right?
considering that life expectancy is 80-100+ these days, middle age being 50+, you are but a young adult. The ideology that you explain is what most teenagers feel (it will never happen to me syndrome). That is why teenagers take risks far worse that their better judgment. You my dear are a late bloomer. Sounds like you have had a rather comfortable life without much death experience, which in some ways is ok, it allows for your innocents. I myself am an almost middle- aged adult, bigger than most. I don't get up each day and look in the mirror and think about my age/weight/wrinkles/or death. I take my day as it goes and most days feel pretty much the same as I did in high school. I don't think that I can't, but do what I need to as the day calls. However eventually time catches up and those things that never seemed to hurt or bother, have a way of reminding you that your no longer 15. At 24, those aches and pains do not exist and I could see how a middle aged person in good physical heath/condition could feel the same. Without the experience of witnessing people around you grow old and die, I think your feeling are normal. However the next time you look at an elderly person ask yourself, what journey's and roads have they had/traveled?
So, be happy!

Feeling young is a good thing. Although it is not true, a positive mind will create positive results. Research shows that positive thinkers are always longer lived than negative thinkers.

it's related to albert einstein"s theory of relitivity, sum it up short, if you have your finger smashed it feels like forever and on the opposing side if you take a nap for two hours it may feel like a second. the youth you have now will feel like an eternity, however, by the time your old it will feel like time has just slipped by. also when your young you feel immortal and untoched by fear, this is only a sign of your inner child still lerking.

I never look my mortality in the eye without the help of a dark chocolate bar and some Grade A optimism. :0)
