I had a miscarriage two years ago and I am having the same feelings now. I just started a great job on Monday and have no insurance. When I had my other miscarriage, I did have insurance and my bill was only $50, when the actual cost was around $5K. I am having the same symptoms as before; sharp pains in the stomach and fresh blood. My husband wants to go to the ER but we really cant afford that. Does anyone know how not having insurance works in the state of Florida? I was thinking maybe we can get a referral and go to some sort of clinic. Please answer quickly because we don't know what to do?!

Financial Assistance and Other Resources for People With CancerCancer imposes heavy economic burdens on both patients and their families. For many people, a portion of medical expenses is paid by their health insurance plan. For individuals who do not have health insurance or who need financial assistance to cover health care costs, resources are available, including Government-sponsored programs and services supported by nonprofit organizations. Cancer patients and their families should discuss any concerns they may have about health care costs with their physician, medical social worker, or the business office of their hospital or clinic.

Oh sweetie go to the ER. Tell them you have no insurance. HCAP (A grant from the state to help cover uninsured patient care) as well as temporary medicaid will fall into play because you are PREGNANT. Make sure you tell them you have no insurance- if it's late and no social worker is available, they will have one speak with you at a later time.
Now- especially- its extremely important that you get help. If you are not miscarrying, and I pray you are not- something else could be going on.

Best of luck... and GO GO GO right now!

Go to the ER pronto. Your baby is more important that $$. Im sure Florida must have some kind of emergency state aid, especially for pregnant women. (otherwise there would be many women not receiving prenatal care) . Dont worry about it- just GO!

most free or low cost clinics are open only a few hours a day, or just a couple days a week....its probally best to go to the ER and apply for financial aid through the hospital.....if you qualify, most of the bill will be taken care of through the hospital....i hope you are ok, take care of yourself and dont worry about the bill, your health is much more important!

Go to the ER now. Your health is far more important than the bill for services. Also, the services you need might not be the same as they were the last time. You just won't know until you get there.. and it's not worth taking a chance. You're at risk, and you need to be seen.

Please take care.

How much does this baby mean to you?An ER bill? More than that? How much are you willing to sacrifice? You know...you can always make more money, but you can never bring a life back!!! Think about it..it`s still a human`s life even if it`s not born yet!!
