Should the Raiders pick (of going for a QB) Quinn instead of Russell as Quinn is ready to play now while Russell has the physical ablities just needs to be mentored(Which the Rauiders do not have) cos the Raiders need a QB who can start now not in a year or 2

"Letting Andrew Walter prosper" isn't a real option because he is one of the least mobile QBs I've ever seen in the NFL.

I think both Quinn and Russell are going to be busts, so I would sign David Carr and try to trade down in the draft for more picks.

Dude Quinn is so overrated. They NEED Russell over Quinn. Russell can easily be mentored into the position. The Raiders can find a decent QB to mentor him, although don't expect that either. As to Quinn, he played SERVICE ACADEMIES. Those guys aren't there to play football. They are there to learn to serve our country. They are there for a much nobler purpose, and sometimes they are good at football as well. Look what happens when Quinn plays the top ten teams. He LOSES. He never beat USC(yeah the one year he should have but the illegal "Bush Push" means he technically didn't) and he NEVER won a bowl game. If he can play the NFL level why couldn't be beat USC, which is considered as close to an NFL level as there is in College usually, and espically on Notre Dame's schedule. He is HYPE and don't expect him to be any where near as good in the NFL as he was at Notre Dame. Russell has more skill, it just needs to be brought out of the raw form.

A QB like Quinn shows up in the draft every year. A QB like Russell only comes along every 7-10 years (according to Merrill Hodge of ESPN). The Raiders need Russell....the problem is they also need a lot of other quality players on the O-line and at running back. They need to trade Randy Moss to the Packers for a first round pick and go from there....

U could put Marino in his prime out there and it wouldnt help. u cant be a good QB if u dont have a line to protect u for about 3 seconds. I'd pick Quinn because he knows how to run a pro style offense and J-Russ just isnt going to pan out as nicely as quinn. He had one good game against notre dame and their high school looking defense. You cant make a guy the #1 pick if ur gonna base it on one game. He looks like a big fat head out there. He just stands there in the pocket and chucks it when he feels like it. To the last stud that wrote the thing about the USC game, he fricked up his knee and had it drained at halftime.
274 yards, 3 TDs, and no picks isnt too bad of a game when your d# sucks and samardzija is the only decent reciever, but hes only good half the time (which is why hes playing baseball).
I dont see how you can say that Russell is stronger too. Quinn did 24 reps in the bench press. Most for a QB. I see Al davis making another stellar move and taking Russell though.

P.S. Merrill Hodge is a cracked addicted queer who sucks his own balls instead of analyzing football

The raiders need to pick up a QB in the 3rd or 4th round and take a free agent as for picking Russell or Quinn, if I were the Raiders Id pick Calvin Johnson.

Their offense is too complicated to let a rookie run it. It takes them something like 20 seconds just to call a play in the huddle. They'll probably draft a QB first and try to make him viable in a year or two. Raiders fans should be ready for another year of Hurt Pride and No Poise.

the problem here is that the raiders i don't think are capable of being a playoff team right now, which is why russell makes more sense in my mind...he can be developed and given a year or so he should be refined and will be a pretty good quarterback, giving the raiders a better chance of returning to their form before they lost the super bowl

quinn would actually be better served to go to a team that had the potential to win right now, because he is more nfl-ready than any quarterback in the draft

They dont have the time to even wait two years for either Quinn or Russel to prosper.....If they had proper coaching then let Walter prosper.....they have to address the other positions like offensive line and wide receiver...with players who can immediately start(btw...Quinn cannot play well in Oakland...neither can Russel)

each physique's forgetting that Troy Smith had a sturdy season too. So Quinn ought to no longer bypass to the Raiders. the two way they might desire to forget approximately Walters and Brooks and bypass interior the draft and discover themselves a QB and that i think of they are going to probable bypass with Quinn.

Trade for an established qb. They dont have time for a qb to learn the system and pro - they need help now.
