Let me tell you a terrible story.
Back in the early 80s (when generic was king), we bought a lot of generic foods.
I made myself some tuna one day and it tastes terrible. I looked at the can.
I had made tuna with the cat's tuna.
The only difference between the cans is that for the cat it said, in small type, "cat food".
I stopped buying generic that day.

Cat food - has a high magnesium content - leads to urinary tract infections. Found out the hard way by trying to save $$ in college. It should be illegal to sell that kind of food for consumption by people's pets.

Yeah, I was gonna say anything that's "cosmetic". Who cares if your ketchup or toilet papaer is generic but some stuff it definitely DOES matter. It's like comparing OLD NAVY to Gucci...umm there is a REASON it's 3.99 sweety, LOL

If I only picked one, out of my dozen of must haves, it would have to be Cheese. Kraft or Borden doesn't matter, but generic cheese is all oil and food coloring....GROSS!!
