If have a circle the radius is the length from the centre to any point on the circle(not the inside regoin, the boundry).

If you dont know the centre of the circle, this is the way to find it,

Take any 3 points on the circle( that is the boundry) A,b,C

Join them, so that you get 2 line segments.

Make perpendicular bisectors to both the lines.

The bisectors will meet at a point. THIS point is the centre of the circle.

Now join this point to A/B/C...that is the radius

i dunno what is average length ...havent heard of it !
