Having a girl named Abbey, but I can't think of a good middle name that I really like. I love music and was trying to name her after something musical. Abbey=Abbey Road from the Beatles.

Any ideas on a music-inspired middle name would be welcome.

How about the following songs and artists: They might not all go with Abbey but these are what we came up with. I was going to use Abigail Elizabeth but my hubby said why not just Abby in the first place. I wanted her to be able to have a more formal name in adult life with the nickname of Abby. She ended up as Kaileigh ( see her song below) Anne ( Anne for grandma, great grandma, and auntie)

Jane: Jefferson Starship
Jolene: Dolly Parton
Janie's Got a Gun: Aerosmith
Rhiannon: Fleetwood Mac
Peggy (Sue):Buddy Holly
Mellissa: Allman Brothers
Kayleigh ( my daughter is named for this song): Marillion
Adia: Sarah McLachlan
Allison or Veronica : Elvis Costello
Beth : Kiss
Charlotte ( Sometimes) : The Cure
Cecelia: Simon and Garfunkle
Eve: The Carpenters
Holly or Cherry: Neil Diamond
Jeannie: Elton John
Layla: Eric Clapton
Lucy: The Beatles
Michelle: The Beatles
Sadie: The Beatles
Nikki: Prince
Rebecca: The Bee Gees
Sara: Hall and Oates
Sandy: From Grease
Valeri: The Monkees
Virginia: Train
Ruby : The Rolling Stones

Abbey Rose

(-: I was just thinking that as I saw your question header -- you should name her Abbey Rhode.

Seriously, I do think you should go with Abigail. You can always call her Abbey at home, but when she grows up she'll have more options. Also, an abbey is a place where nuns live, and she might not like that idea at some point in her life. I think you should give her all the options you can.

Abigail Rhode, Abigail Elaine (Lane). Watch out for initials that spell weird stuff, though.

Congrats on the new baby!
