It doesn't mean at all what he is thinking! That tells you how he is thinking!

Guys like to joke around, and that statement seems like a joking type to me. It may have some other meaning rather than a joking one, but when I read it, I imagined it being said in a joking manner. So yeah, I don't think it's arrogant, depends on how the guy says it.

You are absolutely right. You could have a wonderful personality and that is what makes you attractive but then your husband is right also and whether it is looks or personality the erson complimenting you would probably want to have sex with you or at least not mind. Men are usually more inclined to mean they want to sleep with you when they say you are attractive then women. Women are able to more objectively value someones attractiveness without it having to be about sex.

I'm afraid your husband is right, only it's more like 9 times out of 10! Yes, there's going to be those precious few who are attracted to your inner beauty, but most are just very hungry for some affection and that, to a lot of men, is sex. And that can apply to women as well as men.

In my opinion the "attractive" word is really dorky. I think it means "OK, I don't think you are dirt ugly, and maybe there's something about you that makes me want to go to bed with you, or even have a conversation with you, or even sit across from you while having a meal." It means "when I look at you, I don't feel you are so utterly magnetizing that I can't sleep, but I would like to spend time with you." It's a euphamism, I think. I don't give it much credibility.

For a man it means sex .Looks have nothing to do with it either . Ive been attracted to some funny looking woman and yes I wonted to jump there bones for some odd reason and it wasn't there looks but the sex was still there so i guess you guys are going to have to figure that out . Whats attraction without the sex? I think it all comes in one package

I have to tell you, when a guy (your husband) tells you that when a guy tells you that you are attractive it does mean that they think you would be a nice "bed partner." I didn't realize this when I was younger and thought as you do, that it just meant "there was something about you" but as I have seen quite a bit of this in my lifetime, I have got to tell you your husband is RIGHT! What would motivate a man to tell you this? Think!

You are both right.. I think men and women tend to have a different opinion on this subject I asked my husband your question he said that when somebody tells you that, they definitely want to sleep with you whereas I think attraction has different levels it can be sexual, intellectual, emotional my husband think that all men are driven by that one thing below the belt :)

you're kidding yourself. this is how guys move in. there's no deep logic to it. women are the ones who want to over analyze it. men only want 1 thing. some a nicer about it and will treat you better for it. but at the end of the day they ALL want that 1 thing. if they say they're attracted to you it means SEXUALLY

If a man says he is attracted to a woman, it means he wants to have sex with her. If a woman says she is attracted to a man, it means there's something compelling about him.
Example number 1,456,233 of how men and women think differently.

Here's another fundamental difference between men and women. Men are attracted to you, first with their eyes. That's sex. If they are attracted through some other means first (like hearing your voice, catching your scent, online dating), then they mean they're attracted to you for other reasons. That's sex, too. Now, if they have merely read the book you wrote, and they find that they love your thought processes... that's sex.
