What is the best color for short natural nails?

Light colors are usually what people go for (that or clear) but now the trend is to wear the colors. You can go from black to bright colors (I believe magazines have been recently upping the coverage on celebs who wear bright pink with short nails). As long as you keep them clean and filed evenly (not bitten down and uneven) any color will look fine (perhaps not burgandy or any other dark, red/brown shade). Nothing sparkly though.

Neutral colors. Like clear, light pink, a light, shiny taupe, pretty much any color that at first glance doesn't look like you're wearing anything.

honestly....clear. trust me i wear clear because it makes me feel like my nails are cleaned and people might ask if you buffed 'em because they're so shiny, and w/ pride you can say no. oh yeah i have short nails too
