It all depends on the shirt... and I hope you are not wearing a tie, but button spacing legnth depends and so does the fabric. I would say if the 2nd button goes farther down that 6" don't do it... and if your collar is in bad shape and doesn't wanna stay pretty close together don't do it... other than that I would say you are good to go...this is my style and the ladies dig it... i think (shrugs)

only if your chest hair is sticking out. hah! my philosophy teacher does this. it's kinda funny, but that's another story. I would think it unprofessional-looking if you are working in the office. i mean, it depends on where you work, but are you all done up in a suit and tie? (course, i don't know how you'd wear a tie with the top two buttons undone, haha..) or do you wear a dress shirt every day? it can be sexy, but, of course, that's probably not what you are trying to convey. I think it's OK depending on what kind of workplace you're in and so long as your chest isn't open for public viewing as this can make people uncomfortable. Just have an undershirt on, perhaps.

doing that right now. depends on the person really. I think men it looks a tad bit casual and unprofessional for some reason. 1 button is better. woman I think it is OK. As it isn't really differnt than wearing a v neck shirt or something. and I usually wear a camisole under the shirt so I don't flash too much at work.

If you are a guy I would wear a t-shirt or undershirt under the button down and then you'd probably be OK.

I haven't any set way of buttoning. It relies upon on what form of temper i'm in. human beings in many cases study the thank you to do issues from their mothers and dads. Say, in case you have been dressed by potential of buttoning from the backside up, there's a good risk that it is the way you will do it once you advance up.

The rule of thumb concerning shirts is as follows: one button unbuttoned without a t-shirt underneath, two buttons unbuttoned with a t-shirt.

As Carson Kressley once said, "I don't want to see your Viagra Falls of chest hair spilling out!"

I think it depends on how low the shirt is when it is completely buttoned. If it is a normal button down collared shirt then it's fine.

no it is not unprofessional.... but it also depends on the size of the breast that makes it unprofessional....
if she has big breast then it is unprofessional to leave the two top bottons... but if she has small breast then she can wear a shirt with the top two bottons unbuttoned....
it is all in how you wear it...... be cute and professional with it...

i think it would be safer to do just one button if the shirt is collared. Two buttons undone looks untidy and like you are trying to show off skin.
