I believe only the Executive Producers get the Oscar because Brad May have put a little bit of cash into the film but wasn't on set pissing of the director like most Producers do!!

I don't know. He shared other Best Picture (Producer) awards with the guy credited as winning but not the Oscar. good question

Well he was one in a long line of like 20 producers... He was involved, but that Picture won Best Director and Best Picture only.

i dont know... i noticed the movies i didnt like much usually get Oscars but the ones i tend to enjoy alot dont for some reason. i loved the departed though. i wish it had a better ending but they didnt ruin the movie.

they do not give them to the ones that deserve them the year of the nomination but to the ones that they owe them to from previous ones.
