Its normal for male teens to get erections! There are actually boys embarrassed of their erections. Really embarrassed. They need some help and advice too! I became miserable, becasue kids laughed at me cause of my erections (Middle School which I'm still in). We need comfort too!

Men do answer questions about erections as long as they are serious questions...and your question is serious. We tend not to answer questions that ask, "is mine too small, too big, too what ever".

You're correct, male teens do get erections...and sometimes at awkward times. They get embarrassed because it draws attention to them at an age when "fitting in" and being "normal" is very important. And walking around with a hard on isn't considered normal...especially in the company of female teens.

I don't want to come across as being insensitive but young men having spontaneous erections is analogous (similar) to young women having their menstrual cycle. It is a fact of life and they have no control over when it occurs. The difference is that their natural physical condition isn't visible for everyone else to notice where a guys erection can be seen. And really.....I'd rather have mine noticeable than not have it noticed. Right?

Hang in there...and very good question.

teens and men get erections and sometimes they occur in what one can term embarassing moments such as the school or gym showers or while sitting in school or at work.

teens are quite prone to teasing each other over almost everythign from the length or colour of their hair to the appearance of their erect penis.

the truth of the matter is that most teasing is the result of not fully understanding male anatomy and that erections are perfectly normal even when there is no sexual stimuli present.

Also true is
a) if you concentrate on the fact you are erect and others can notice, then you will stay erect longer.
b) if you try to move things around or otherwise hide yoru erection (or the bulge in your pants if you happen to be dressed) then you draw attention to yoruself an deven mor epeople will notice.
c) if someoen teases you a little and you react negatively then you will get teased even more.

Moral of it all:
a) If you get erect, then get erect and let it be as natural as walking or talking.
b) carry on with whatever you are doign and totally ignore the fact your penis is erect.
c) never try to hide it through contortions or rearranging that will be noticed by others.
d) if anyone teases you, then instead of getting all upset or embarassed, just be prousd you have a healthy happy penis and exaggerate yoru erection for all to see and if you can, make a witty remark back about how glad you are to be healthy and have a nice, workign penis. In other words let them now they are welcome to see and you are not in the least bothered by showing it. That usually stops the teasing.

And to relate a funny story - one friend in our grade 9 gym class always got an erection in the showers. Another friend was always teasing him. Funny thing was the guy doing the teasing wasn't even started into puberty; he was tiny and hairless and just teased because he wasn't nearly as nicely developed as the other guy's big hairy penis was.

I didn't like your question personally (no offense). I think you meant well but, it didn't come out good! In your case scenario a woman has the right to divorce the Man. So that she can furfill the wishes of having babies etc... I mean if a man has a second wife, the wifes won't live under the same house. (so you saying about the woman having sex in the other room while the husband listings to it). Not even the man are allowed to do this. I would't like to share my husband, and that's why before getting married we got that straight. But Allah has given men the right to get Married 2, 3, or 4 times then He knows best and we shouldn't argue coz he made the conditions quite clear....".. but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them) then only one ..." Immage the situation being on the reverse. If a woman cant have children the men doesn't have to divorce her, but if he really wants to have kids he can marry someonelse. Keeping is first wife coz lets face it if a woman can't have kids if she gets divorced, I very much daubt she will get married again coz no one will want her. : ) You have to remember not everyone marries coz of LOVE. And if you marry coz of Love are you saying you rather have your husband go through the same pain as you (of not having kids) or do you love him enough to set him "free" to have kids? Coz when you really love someone you cando anything I think!?

This is very normal. Cover the area with a book or backpack and be happy to have your sexuality intact. There are many unlucky men that cannot have spontaneous erections due to disease or spinal cord injuries. The frequency of these will lessen as you approach your twenties. It is difficult to offer "comfort" to someone who is ungrateful for his perfect health. No one in high school will care. Middle school is tough when it comes to teasing, rumors, and peer pressure, but soon becomes a distant memory. Have a nice weekend.

All boys have erections. I don't understand why other kids have to laught at you. If you are really uncomfortable about your erections, wear briefs. Your erections will not show as much.

my brother and i are really close and he is 14 and i am 16. he always get erections but he never really tries to hide them because he has learned the hard way that when you try to cover yourself more people notice

if you are one of those people who care about being seen, wear briefs, long shirts or jackets (you know what that looks like considering half the male population do) or if you or your parents dont mind you could let your pants sag to a convient level but if you do let your pants sag, dont get in trouble by teachers or principals

ive had the same problem which also started in middle school. dont worry im sure your not the only one at that school with the same problem. yes it can be embarrasing , but the only thing i can think to tell you is just to wear briefs or tighty whitys to kinda help contain the erection.
