OMG we had this exact discussion in our house last night! lol For me, I want you to look at me so I know for sure that you understood what I was saying. I can't tell you the number of times I would say something and get an "Yeah OK" response only for the instructions never to be carried out or whatever they were. The explanation is always "Oh I thought you meant xyz". So now, I want you to look at me so I can see it in your eyes that you "get" what I am saying to you.
If men had a better track record at not looking and still listening then women wouldn't require you to look at them now, would we?!

Women like men to make eye contact show they are interested in the conversation. And it is also polite

Yes listening requires looking at the speaker if listener is a man and the speaker is a woman. Especially if they are married!

Because some men are like children.....When you want a child to listen to you, you make sure they are looking at you. That way you know they are actually paying attention to you.

Because unless a guy is looking at you when your talking to him, they never seem to hear you. My husband never hears what I say even when he is looking at me!
