Brown anoles (Anolis sagrei) and green anoles (Anolis carolinensis) live together in many areas of Florida, and, so far as I know, there's no record of them interbreeding, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. However, green anoles can be green or brown depending on their environment and level of excitement, so make sure that your "brown anole" isn't just a brown A. carolinensis.

okay anyone answering this question by talking about their anoles changing colors shouldn't even own a lizard let alone answer the question. Green Anoles and Brown Anoles are different anoles. A green anole changing its color to brown DOES NOT make it a brown anole. That's like painting a ferrari and saying it's a camaro. Green anoles possess the ability to change colors to brown but it's usually a sign of stress, environmental conditions, or even camouflage. A brown anole does not change color, has different physical characteristics and designs, lives closer to the ground, and is NOT a green anole that has changed to brown.

Not common, but it does happen. Green anoles are supposed to be whatever color they are with the white belly and the dewlap. Every now and then, I see a green anole with a little bit of brownish patterning down it's spine like a Cuban has.... So, if you've got a male and a female together, there is a chance that you could get some intergrades.
As for them eating each other's babies, they'll eat their own babies too, they're lizards and anything smaller than them is fair game when it comes to a meal.

Brown and green anoles are the same species, just different colors at the moment. They can change their skin from brown to green and back. I'm sure they could mate if they wanted to... you won't believe the things that get together :)

While it is entirely possible they could have babies, it's not as easy as breeding cats or dogs.
