a tank that's spacious with clean, fresh water
a rock or log for basking in the sun
a heat lamp and a UV lamp over the rock/log
and delicious food

also, they like to run around outside like once a week in the spring and summer when it's nice and sunny
so they can get the real UV from the Sun

also, turtles would be even happier if, instead of a tank, they had a nice big pond
:]
