Because many of the songwriters were gay. Plus theatre in general is a very gay-friendly place usually, most likely owing to attracting a lot of liberal, free-spirited people.

I'm Bi and I love show tunes and even more fun than show tunes are live Plays, i could have just died when i saw Kismet at a dinner playhouse in San Clemente Ca.

i'm uncertain approximately that one. Are we speaking of you? listening to even though, be it musicals, showtunes, or classical does not make you gay. while you're gay, it could probable come from something else. i do no longer think of detention center has something to do with it. you're asking the incorrect question. "Am I gay?"

Not all do. But I think those that do have a slightly more feminized brain, leading to more enjoyment of music. So, girlier brain.
