Yes, a one way ticket back to their homeland if they want it, this time they won't have to wear chains. .
Edit: By the way I am not raciest, I just feel very strongly that Slavory has been over with for 160 years and they are Americans by choice now. .

Almost all of the slaves were bought from the local rulers. My history book says it and my past two teachers have taught it like that. Why would we need to pay reparations after affirmative action?
Isn't giving somebody a job they're not qualified to do or a school whose aptitude is too high for the individual simply because of the color of their skin fair enough? (sarcasm)

i'm against reparations for slavery. i'm no longer an American yet i'm from an African united states the place an predicted variety of 10 million people have been massacred and thousands maimed (hand and/or ft chopped) for the period of colonial situations. i think of which you have heard or study the colonial genocide interior the Congo below King Leopold II. it continues to be painful whilst i think of roughly it. those to blame for those atrocities are all lifeless and buried. Their toddlers, grand toddlers, great grand toddlers are all harmless till now the regulation and till now God. they'd desire to no longer pay any reparations of any variety. the comparable for slavery in u . s . of america. The Whites of in the present day are no longer to blame at excited with reference to the wrongs, crimes and sins of their distant ancestors. it is going to likely be completely unfair and unjust to call for and get reparations from harmless people. Many African Chiefs made salary with the help of advertising their own subjects to eu slavers. Do you think of that their descendants ought to additionally provide you reparations for slavery? As for me, i do no longer think of so.

No. Slavery, as you put it, doesn't exist anymore in America. I don't know any slaves, or any slave-holders, do you? Blacks are as free as a white person, and in many cases more free. They get affirmative action, when whites don't. They get government loans when Whites don't. Those who want so-called reparations, don't deserve it, they just want free money. I don't have a black person working in my house, do you, unpaid? Blacks of today have not suffered slavery. They have more rights to get into college, and get jobs, because of their color, and whites who work like dogs to get what they deserve for their hard work, don't get the same opportunity. That's a fact. So, if blacks want reparations, I think they are already getting them.

Maybe we can take it from Social Security or Medicare and bankrupt them that much sooner.
But to answer your question...No, reparations are needed. Every single person in this country has the same opportunities to get a job.

No, I don't believe it is necessary. There are no native born Blacks in the US who have ever been slaves nor any native born people who have owned slaves..... The suggestion is just a bunch of hooey.
If you want to talk reparations, ask a Native Indian on any reservation in the U.S.....

No. I think if anyone needs reparations it is the Native Americans who had their land stolen from them and were almost killed off to the brink of extinction. The white man has destroyed their land and their way of life. Native Pride forever!

with all of the past costs incurred for people who were enslaved since the end of the civil war, reparations are certainly not a needed add on to be given. look at all of the social programs and their costs alone in the past.

You know who deserves reparations? Me. My g-g grandfather and his brother, Willard and Sylvester Clemons, were soldiers in the 8th Michigan Infantry, and fought to free people they had never met. Where's the compensation for that??
