Outside of the Cancun airport there are people there that take the tourists from the airport to their hotel.
You will see them as soon as you exit the airport, that have vans and they are all dressed in color polos (some orange, some yellow...)
The van has air conditioning and they usually charge $10 per person. Also, when it is time for you to leave Mexico, you can call them (the day before your departure) and they will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport. That is also $10.

I fly into Cancun every year and the taxi drivers will try and get you as soon as you got out of the airport..You should see if your hotel has a shuttle that runs from the airport to the hotel or in the area...Dont forget to take plenty of sunscreen~
Have Fun~

I live in Cancun and when we can't con one of our friends to pick us up at the airport we use a local "van" company.
Their website is entertainment-plus.net. They offer live chat...most likely you will be chatting with Trina (tell her I said ola). Not only do they offer transport but discount tickets for food, tours...tourist things.
Hope you enjoy your vacation. As a side note Cancun is much more than the Hotel Zone and the resort that you stay in live a little and take a look at our city.

Well, in Febuary I went to Cancun. We rented a villa, so we needed a car to get around. We used a company called Americana express or something like that. It was horrible. They show up at the airport with 2 TINY cars to hold 8 people and luggage for 14 days. They drove us to their shop made us wait an hour and ended up giving still 2 tiny cars. They were alittle bit bigger than the first. On top of that the cars were dirty, old and broken. It was expensive and hrrible. Go with a brand name like Hertz.

I would try to get something prearranged with your hotel before you leave. When I went to Cancun we did this and it was very simple. We simply paid the hotel (Casa Maya) $10 per person. You will have a voucher when you get to the airport which will make things much easier. I think it is smart to get your transportation set before you go because you will be OVERWHELMED(it looks like something you would see in a movie) by the amount of people trying to offer you rides. There are hundreds among hundreds of people trying to give you rides and you cant know who to trust.

If you don't have transportation from your hotel then I would suggest taking a shuttle cab. There are these booths as soon as you exit the luggage claims. They take about 9 to 10 people a trip and they charge under $10 per person. If you like their service then call them when it's time to go home they will pick you up at your hotel. have fun!!

Depending on your hotel location, a taxi would probably be best.Usually 20-25 bucks.
Ask other people standing around, they could be going to your hotel also and you could share.
MAKE SURE you agree on a price before you commit!
When you return from the hotel to go home...Negotiate with them for transportation.
Stay away from the time share deals.
Usually there are bike and VW rentals real close to all the hotels..Best way to see everything...and cheaper.
Good luck, and go to Sen'ior Frogs!

To be honest your cab fair will depend on your patience and your race. To be honest it is going to be expensive but try to get the hotel shuttle. That will be cheapest. Hotel's down there might do it complimentary. If you get a cab then you'll pay a good amount for it.
