If you understand what omnipotent means, you understand that God can not create something and not know its future because time does not exist to God. If you understand this you understand that God knew Satan would rebel before he created him. If you understand this you understand that God is responsible for evil. If you understand this you understand that God is guilty for your sins, in the same way you would be a guilty parent for leaving a loaded gun in the crib. So you should be able to see that by the doctrine of christianity God is when its all said and done, responsible for the very thing he says he is saving you from!
You can not argue that God is not responsible for evil because he is omnipotent and the creator of all things. All 'things' meaning EVERYTHING, if God is then he is. I look forward to your answers.
I know this is a little much for polls and surveys but I wanted to hear what the people hear thought!

I like your point...and I will not argue against you. God is the creator of everything under Heaven...however, there is no such thing as evil. All things...yes, ALL things happen and are created for our enlightenment and ultimate understanding.

OK,l and that is why His only begotten son took the sins of the whole world upon Himself. For the very first time EVER he was separated from His Father. Doesn't sound like much, but it is a humongous thing. So God paid for the sins you say He is responsible for. And it is a gift offered to us. Free salvation. Free on our side. The 3rd person of the Trinity living in us. Guiding and loving us.

This is where you lose me: "If you understand this you understand that God is responsible for evil. If you understand this you understand that God is guilty for your sins."
While I can agree that God is responsible for evil in a sense, I cannot agree that he is responsible for evil in the sense of having actually committed it. The reason parents are guilty fo leaving loaded guns in cribs is because leaving them there is wrong for them to do. They have actually commited an evil. To make your argument work, you need to make the case that creating a world containing evil was actually an evil thing for God to do--that it was wrong for God to do it.

What about God giving us the gift of Free Will? We are not drooling newborns, or robots. We learn and are shaped by our experiences. We choose our own path based on that information. I don't believe in "evil" anyway. In the big picture I think everything is about balancing. For every action, there is a counteraction. I believe everything happens for a reason, therefore good &/or evil events serve the greater purpose in the end. Much good can result from, or come out of an "evil" event/person, i.e. the drunk driver that kills a child is maybe considered evil, but he is the catalyst for inspiring that child's mother to form M.A.D.D. which helps many. I believe its the driver's & child's destiny (that they chose for themselves before they got to this earth plane) & part of God's overall plan. Perhaps "evil" is just necessary, so that we may recognize & appreciate "goodness."

First of all, that's not what omnipotent means. The word you're looking for is omniscient - God is both.
Second... The best I can do is tell you that we're all like ants, which are blind. We can't see what's really going on. I don't know why it's there, or why we're here. It's a mystery. I think God created a second being, a devil to use when we need punishments to teach us, if God himself punishes us we would reject and resent him. But evil works on itself - what goes around comes around. We generate it ourselves.

Read William Blake's poems. First read "The Lamb" from Songs of Innocence then read his "The Tyger" from Songs of Experience. Now consider that he wrote those in the 18th Century and was asking the same question as you are. Hopefully this give you some perspective.
You might even consider Adam and Eve. Don't you think that after they were banished from the Garden of Eden they too were asking themselves "Who the devil put a talking serpent in our Garden?"

Well we were all given free will so God is not technicaly not responsible for evil or the actions of evil people. So why god created people who are evil he himself did not make them evil. Truely talked to a pastor about this once and that was his explanation.

okay what happend was that God created all things and he created angels, the Devil was an angel that decided to try to overthrow God and he falied so God created this place called Hell and cast him there along with any other fellow angels that were wanting to go with Satan.
God puts evil in front of us to tempt us, and he created evil so we could have a choice to follow Him or turn to the Devil. He is not forcing us to do anything. other then that i have no idea how to answer your question because omnipotent doesn't mean that.

That is not true. God gives us a choice for making our decisions. Satan choose not to obey God. Evil is caused by sin because humans choose to be disobedience.
