In the interest of fairness, I wanted to put this question out there too, so we can explore both sides of the coin. So, what female stereotypes are portrayed in pop culture? Specific examples (from TV shows, films, songs, videos, ads, etc)?

They potray women as 2 completely opposite types, one is submissive, vulnerable little princess needs to be saved by knight in shining armor, another type is "dragon lady", she's intelligent, sexy but dangerous ,even lethal, she needs to be "conquered", in very rare conditions, women are potrayed as normal strong, independent person.

In ancient times, there're 4 kinds of women: Godess, wife, prostitude and sex slave.

Ummm...not ALL commercials. A lot of commercials portray women as sex objects as well. It depends on what is being sold. If the market is the "housewife" or mother, the commercial shows her as strong, level-headed, etc. But if it's anything else, men's deodorant, men's hair dye, men's cologne, women's underwear, women's perfume, makeup, beer, cars, motorcycles...etc, then the women is portrayed is a soul-less automaton of sex. Just a body.

Women are portrayed as caring yet determined. They are angles. They are heads of family. They are police officers who talk the suicidal man away from the ledge.

Its all a facade and demonstrates how much power feminists have. American women are mostly lazy. They spend most of their money in shopping malls on clothes and makeup.

They are usually stereotyped as emotional, unreasonable, dependent, and nagging, in comparison to men. There are some examples, like Beyonce, or Brittney, where they are portrayed as behaving badly to empower themselves. "I could have another you in a minute......"

Agreed on (most of) the above ideas.
Here's one: Middle aged and older women are portrayed as used up, sad, fat old hags with no self worth beyond serving their family's needs, or shopping for the latest denture cream, laxative, or adult diapers.
Good luck

Like sexual objects. See any rap video.

Strong, intelligent, and a little bitchy. See any commercial or sitcom.

Strong and benevolent overcoming the evil man. See any Lifetime movie.

Overall they are portrayed positively.

Well it depends on the kid of woman you are talking about. If a woman is seeing more than one man she is termed a whore, while a man is termed a stud. If a woman speaks her mind she is termed a b**ch. If a woman sits in a restaruant alone she is considered to be lonely and sad.
