Dora the Exporer and her cousin Diego both Travel all over the world on their own. And Max and Ruby are the ultimate latchkey kids (Grandma shows up from time to time but, I have never seen there parents) whats the message??

Muppet babies had the Nanny you only got to see her legs(like the woman in Tom and Jerry) .....Incase you are wondering I watch TV with my children(lucky enough to be able to stay home with them)

I have seen Dora's parents...Not sure about Diego...Ruby is the most patient big sister I have ever seen....who would need a mom or dad with her around??

In today's society Mom and Dad are at work...and the children are either at day care or a sitter. Either place doesn't allow a lot of one on one so the children must invent their lives...Parents are gone...it is a given.

Good point. How about that show "The Naked Brothers Band"? My nephew thinks it's cool that kids have a tour bus and "hang out" without school, or adults to tell them what to do.
