I get your point, but I continue to believe that the presence of females within a mainly male squad, changes the behaviour of the men toward each other. Instead of cooperating with each other in a way that only men can in times of danger, there will be a temptation for them to compete with each other for the attention of the females, and even worse to form relationships with them. This creates a dangerous distraction. There are a whole lot of other reasons, but this is probably the main one.
