you know, I see this too in Cons. Filled with venom they seem. They are so quick to call people ugly names and threaten them with violence when that person/those people don't agree with their views, or stand in the way of making them money. Ann Coulture, or whatever her name is and Rush are examples of them.

Andy, I want to thank you for carefully crafting your question. You used the word "some" instead of "all", "Conservative" instead of "Republican", and finally "rage" instead of "hate." I have had too many conversations with democrats (not necessarily liberals) that enjoy using this inflammatory language.
I hope you have discovered while speaking with conservatives that many of them are educated, passionate, and patriots.
I suspect the rage you have encountered has it's roots in fustration.
I recently had a conversation with a democrat about WWII history, and this individual actually thought the US attacked Japanese forces first with submarines, and it was the US that provoked the war. (this is definitely false)
I have also discovered that some liberals and some democrats cannot admit their ignorance about a topic. They can not say "I don't know." They would argue with you until they are red in the face before admitting their lack of knowledge about a subject.
Unfortunately, some conservatives are too passionate about some of their beliefs. (rage)
While I was speaking with the same individual, we discussed the differences between communism, socialism, totaliarianism, and democracy. I was surprised to learn that this person did not see any discernable differences between communism, socialism, and democracy. My passion and probably rage was from having the knowledge that 100 million humans were murdered by their own governments in the last century. All of these governments were either communist, socialist, or totalitarian.
The fustration comes from understanding how willingly ignorant some people are, and their lack of understanding that freedom is precious and fagile.
This is what Thomas Jefferson meant when he said, "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."
I have 100 million reasons to be passionate!

All you have to do is listen to Michael Savage on the radio to hear some conservative rage. However, he is well educated (PhD) and he understands the times we are in.
So, the next time a conservative expresses rage just ask them one question. Why are you so angry? You will probaly get a much calmer response after they deny that they are angry.

Good Luck ! Good Question ! Hope this helps !

No kidding. You usually only see this much hate at a KKK meeting.

Even the female neocons are all for killing and maiming Liberals...not the enemy, liberals, moderates and democrats.

Even though more democrats served in the armed forces than republicans by 4-1.

Bush and company have created a party of anger and hate. The only problem is they think the liberals are just these people who wouldn't retaliate because we don't support an "unjust" war.

There's no Republicans or Democrats in foxholes.

Yes, Conservatives are filled with rage. Thankfully, we have the left calling Conservatives such endearing terms as "Contards", "neo-CONs", etc.

Its so nice knowing that the love and compassion of the Left rains down on all.

Face it. Both sides do it, and they usually make themselves look worse when they do.

Because how dare anyone question authority and remember what the constitution provides them!!

Just shut your mouth and close your eyes and believe that your government is altruistic and really only doing as the Good Lord commands!!

Conservatives have completely forgotten the meaning of the words they hold so dear!!!

They're frustrated with their country. I guess more it's people and their non-patriotic ways. They would rather spit on the flag than salute it and that makes a lot of conservatives pissed off. Conservatives care about this country and when everyone is ripping it apart how are you not filled with rage?

Impossible for you to have any clue what Republicans are filled with.

You would probably get better answers if you owned your own opinions, rather than projecting onto other people.

For the same reason that some liberals are. When one becomes convinced that their opponents are either evil or stupid they no longer treat other perspectives with respect but with disdain. It is possible for people to have definite opinions without disparaging their opponents or failing to recognize common goals. We need leaders to stand firm on principles without making political opponents demagogues.

I dunno, why are some liberals filled with rage? I suppose it's based entirely on the individual, and has nothing whatsoever to do with political party affiliation.

So much for sweeping generalizations.

I guess for the same reason that some liberals are. We all have our beliefs and claim to be open minded. That is, until someone starts shooting off at the mouth, and then, well, you know. The mud starts slinging. LOL
