You are still well within the normal range for mollies, nothing at all to worry about. 28 days is only an average. The length of gestation is not always linked to size of the brood and could be for any number of benign reasons. Basically , don't sweat it, she will have them when she has them.

can u tell if she has a black spot near her anal fin? Granted this is virtually impossible to tell in black mollies. Usually, the larger the fish the more fry they have. Also, have had mollies hold their fry(babies) for up to six weeks. Got some myself a few weeks back that were already noticeably pregnant and are still holding their fry - they look like they swallowed a box, and their little bellies look about to ready to split open. Was trying to guesstimate how long it would be before they'd "drop", but still waiting.

Well, my sister's Mollies have been prego for about a month and a half now, and she thinks that they are having their babies and then eating them and then getting prego again... but i know that that's not the case, the normal time span for mollies to have their babies is about that long, but my sister doesn't ever listen to me. lol. anyway, ^_^
just wait it out... they should be fine.

hope this helps...
good luck!

first of all how do you know she is even pregnant? mollies will get wide when they are pregnant not a low hanging belly. my mollies get the fat belly everytime they eat, that said, it is entirely possible she is pregnant and just late. how often are human children not on their due dates?

Don't worry. Maybe she's overdue. And mollies can have many babies and the next time she can have very little babies. The outcome can be very erratic at times.
