The mind isn't smarter than the heart, the heart is the emotional part of the mind which get out of control many times, but doesn't fool it, it just overwhelms it at times.

The mind is not smarter than the heart because their one in the same. If you love a girl your mind tells you. It could be just the color of her hair the way she wear it. The smell of her perfume her eyes the way she looks at you .If your in love your blind to any faults she may have. Your friends may see it and you don't.That's why if she rejects you, you can't believe it!! And you may even start hating her. That's the fine line between love and hate!!! Just never act upon it you'll look the fool!!!I hope this answers your question in a round about way!!!

I believe the MIND is smarter than the HEART. The heart however can sometimes feel things too much and this can become overwhelming for our minds. Our minds tend to tell us what to do but our hearts usually lead us to where we truly want to be.It's our choice whether we follow reasoning or instinct.

The mind is more logical than the heart, but often things other than logic rule our actions. So I guess you could say the mind is smarter, but it's often the heart with the power.

Your question stated IF, and this is only answerable if I believe in your question. The heart doesn't fool the mind at all, they are connected! You THINK it is the heart that feels things, but it is actually the MIND which translates these 'feelings'. Mind = Heart

When the self finds its identity foolish, be it of the heart or mind, both are too slow to know it. If they were fast enough to the truth, then there is no foolishness in them.
Mind or intellect, heart or Spirit, they are as one self as conscious of and for its self. The particular self is not assumed universal but individual. What is reasonable to assume IS universal.

i actually feel it is the heart that is smarter than the mind. it's when one doesn't figure out the language of the heart, it creates chaos and unstability. embrace the whispers or wisdom of the heart (as one answerer mentioned), then all will follow accordingly and potentially harmoniously. it ain't easy and it takes tons of practice though...

The feelings and the so-called instinct and the logical thinking on the other hand are both lodged in the brain, part of the same process of decision-making. They are metaphorically separated but scientifically proven to be in a relation of collaboration. The feelings have more persuasion on the decision process, but they include logical processing of data.
