How can I make the screen on my laptop brighter?

if your laptop is HP so i can help
Hold on the "Fn" key and press
f9 to get darker
f10 to get brighter

Usually there is a key combination you press to increase/decrease the brightness. Different for each model.
Check the manufacturer's website for your PC, or the documentation that came with it, and it should tell you what the key is. Different for every make and model.

You didnt say what kind. I have a dell so ill tell you about that.
Hold down the Fn key and use the arrow key for up and down
