I like "City Lights", "Tabu", and "Silent Movie". And *any* movie by Aki Kaurismäki is always fun to watch.
A little less silent, but mostly sound effects and great tributes to the silent movie era, are the movies by ex-mime Jaques Tati, one of France's greatest directors : "Jour de Fête" (get the color version!), "Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot", "Mon Oncle", "Playtime", and "Trafic".
