It's time for YOU to get some help for yourself. Your husband is obviously an alcoholic, and only he can help himself. You can't make him quit, you can't even make him realize that he has a problem, but you can get help for yourself. Alanon is for anyone who has ever loved an alcoholic. Find a meeting in your area.

Oh, and by the way, it is very bad that he goes to work drunk, but you already knew that didn't you? This was just a cry for help...well I heard you, hopefully I helped. Good luck!

It doesn't matter what he does for a living, going to work drunk is extremely bad. It will slow his response time down when he may need it the most. For starters if he's going to work drunk that implies he's driving drunk. How many people is he endangering there? At work someone may need serious help and he wont be able to give it, or he may cause the need for help. There is no excuse for drinking on the job. He needs help and fast or he very well may not make it home one day.

Oh , All I can say is that is so normal, and so much fun, and I am sure it is such a wonderful feeling to go to work drunk. It is probably an even better idea to go out and drive first! OMG

How can you even ask if it is good?! Of course not! Aside from possibly losing his job, if he's driving to work drunk, he's putting himself and everyone else around him in danger. Also, he may be putting his co-workers in danger if he works in an industrial type job.

Why ask? The question is there. Get out while you can. There must be a problem or you would not ask. Good Luck

If he is a bartender, sometimes this is acceptable, if he is a male stripper, the again is acceptable, if however he is a teacher, preacher, professional or any job that requires a person to operate heavy machinery, it is not acceptable... encourage him to join AA.
