Ok, this story is the stupidest story ever and I am so frustrated over it, I need someone to help me!
My parents have been married for 24 years, and abouth a month ago, my father found one of those junk emails in my mothers email you know the ones that are like 'i miss you, come see me etc' I have seen the email myself and I know for a fact that it is junk. Well my father knows NOTHING about computers at all except how to do very few things and he doesn't understand that people get those all the time. We have all tried to explain it to him over and over again. So anyway he will not leave my mother alone on trying to figure out who this person is, even though my brother has tried numerous times but it can't be traced. My mother got my brother to delete her email account and while it was on the list to be deleted, my father opened it and reactivated it. Now he doesn't beleive that he did that either. It just keeps snowballing! Now he wont stop talking about it, and my moms getting fed

up as the rest of us are. I have no idea how to explain it to him even though we have tried. What can all of us do to try and make this better?
Thanks so much

You can't do anything other than tell him that it's junk mail. Possibly buy a book that explains how Junk mail is generated. If your mother can't convince him that she isn't seeing anyone and that this is a big misunderstanding, then there might be something from the past that is stirring up old emotions. Best of luck.

If by now he isn't trusting what you guys are saying not much else will. I also get those junk mails and hate them. I also get a links to porn, which I have never been too. All you have to do is go on a website, any of them, and they can tract you and before long you will get these. It's not worth throwing away 24 years for. I'm 54 and no way do I or have been on the website that sends me mine, I can block them and the next day they will be there again, but this time with a different name. He needs to relax when messing with computers and websites all of us get these.

Open another email account in yahoo. Do not send any emails to it or from it and sooner or later SPAM will appear. It always does!!! I have had my address for 11 years and I get over 100 a day right to my bulk mail folder.

Get him into counselling. He sounds like he has bigger issues that a comprehensive ignorance of computers - paranoia and a nicely developed persecution complex for starters. Unless he gets professional help, I think your mother would be better off without him in her life.
