I hear places like Huntersville, Pineville, Waxhaw, Concord Ballantyne, and South Park are nice. Coming from the West Coast I am used to a faster paced environment and would prefer not to live in an area that is too slow. Please Help!!!

Yeah, I'd agree Ballantyne's a pretty nice place to live. Actually, personally, I think anywhere in South Charlotte is great. If you can afford to live in South Park, I'd say go for it. It's closer to uptown than Ballantyne and uptown Charlotte is very fast-paced. I'm sure you'd love it there.

and Waxhaw is a definite no-no.

I enjoyed living at lake Norman in Cornelius because it wasn't a weekend it was a two day vacation. But form what you said I think it would be to slow for you. Waxhaw???? it's even slower than Cornelius. I'd have to go with Ballantyne, very convenient to shopping, Fine dinning, Movies, and a few bars.

I would think downtown would be the best place. Its no more expensive then South Park area. If you in downtown, and work there commuting is not an issue. Most of all clubs and fine restaurants are located in or within 5 miles of downtown.
