I thought I wanted too at times before, but then a friend of mine cleared things up for me. She said that suicidal people don't really want to die, they just want to stop hurting. You have to do what it takes to live thru. Die happy and live happy for all eternity. Don't die in lowly sadness. You might feel that way in the next life. Do what it takes to live thru.

I think the emotion is more common than we know. Sometimes it may seem escape is the only solution.
I don't think we want to be morbid but death is the only escape that doesn't require good credit, planning and resources.
I also think some people use suicide as power play. Suicide leaves the survivors with a question, "What could I have done?".
A selfish or vindictive person may see this as the ultimate payback.

Yes, years ago, but I remember it well. The darkest time of my life, after months of agony I remember one night sitting on my bed with a shotgun propped up under my chin, trying to work up the courage to press down on the trigger. Finally did it - CLICK as the firing pin slammed forward on an empty chamber - I was so distraught at the time I had forgotten to chamber a shell.
That was a real wakeup call for me, and I would definitely consider that moment to be a turning point in my life. I've never been anywhere near that point since.

No. I wouldn't ever. If you or any one ever wants to don't. Committing suicide is the worst crime on heaven and Earth you can commit to others and yourself. You might think things would be better there but the truth is when you do commit suicide. God don't wait a minute to talk to you. You are sent straight back to Earth to relive your life until you learn not to kill yourself.

Yes, I have.
Quite a few times and it is a horrible feeling.
But also knowing that someone else wants to commit suicide is actually worse

Yes at one time in my life. It's a very stupid thing to consider doing. You hurt the people around you by doing it more than yourself.
