How would the Dem's react?

Would they take the side of Cuba...or the U.S?

Would they view them as "hostages" or "captives"?

And if Bush subsequently "pardoned" them, gave them gifts and sent them on their way, would he be a great humanitarian...or a criminal?

Maybe They would ask if the Cuban wanted asylum . If they wanted asylum they would be granted it. If they were on US territory it would not be a question about it. Why do you think the dem would take side with Cuba ? I see no reason why they should take any position for Cuba. But I emagine that any republican and Bush supporter think the worst of dem and they want to put dem and all other political enemys with those that republicans look upon as enemys.

Im confident that in the case of Cubans coming into US territory it would be 100% documented as true backed up with satellite photos and tagged by satellite global positioning system.

It would be a storm in a glass of water. Cuba wouldnt do a thing about this on a political scale.

Hi:

If soldiers were captured by our government they will detained just like british soldiers, but there is one good thing can happen to cuban soldiers; they want to come to here anyway they may request political asylum.. they will be captives until our government determines their intensions.

Cuba is not iran. Cubans run away from because of te regime which they oppose. British soldiers possibly lost in track in the international waters "no zone"
Let see how to describe this to you: You are driving in long county road in Texas and you lost the track and no phone and no map... but, you saw a large farm, open land but there is a sign in front of the barbwire says "NO TRESPASSING: "It is private property.".?Well, do you still walk inside the land or just make a noise to attract someone to come help you? think about?. If you walk in this property you may get arrested or possible shot at.. right.
" No treaspassing Zone" was posted and you entered area which called under the or federal laws or state laws are/ is private property.. We also have international laws and if you pass the international boundries and enter the "NO ZONE" or another country's border you will be captured and become captives.. if the government determines that they were there intentionally they have right to held them as "hostage" . if later determined they were not intentionally entered the area but it was an error.. they will be "captives" becuse Iran President and government determined that they entered the zone not intentionally and released. Our federal government passed a law which is very important to know 1994-/96 not sure at this moment. It says that "knowingly and intentionaly" words which added I believe. know, if you entered the Texas farm land "no trespassing zone" you will be arrested by the law enforcement agencies also. am sure you understand after this what will happen my dear. I hope that I did not bore you.. but, please do not compare lemon and orange...I hope you understand these examples.
,e will pay the dues.. by the law and rules. I believe you are really comparing two different countries. Iran is socialist, Cuba is communist. Cubans fear of smell the flowers in Cuba. Cubans want to run away, they do not want to live in their own land.
I believe our government will review these captives under immigration laws and regulations. I am sure notified higher levels of government. if there more important issues arise.

To Suppressed above: The Coasties take Cubans and Haitians and drug smugglers into custody in international waters almost daily. You need to do better research. If they were armed we would do what has to be done to protect our shores. Capture or kill.

Additional: Less we forget when Castro shot down a light aircraft owned by the organization called "Brothers" that was in Internation air space.

questioning many people think of of all Iraqis are very truly terrorists and for this reason have not have been given any sympathy for them. now now no longer anybody somewhat, yet a superb minority. i will by ability of no ability dismiss the sinking feeling I felt indoors the 90s whilst those scud missiles have been launched into Iraq and whilst they released i might marvel the situation they might land and how many undesirable hazard unfastened people have been approximately to die. i might desire to never watch those computing device snap pictures the region you will discover them aiming at targets the two. i know incredibly some them on the instant targetted the enemy - even though it known too very equivalent to a computing device sport - distinctive than with easily women individuals and men people. Made me journey ill. Edit: There you will probable be - the guy above me has proved my factor. many people do now no longer make a difference between "civilian" and "terrorist". in many situations it is now now no longer their fault - that's what their media tell them. by ability of way of fact that a million/2 people of a voters do now no longer even very own a passport, or have ever travelled remote places - they particularly do now no longer know very lots related to a minimum of something of the international.

I suspect they would be turned around and sent back to Cuba immediately. Unless there is sufficient reason to suspect we were being invaded, it simply wouldn't be worth the effort to do anything else.
It would be just a blip on the back page of the newspaper.
After all, if we did anything else, Bush would be accused of trying to start a war with Cuba.

It is just a line on some map---we cross it all the time. Screw how the Democrats feel about it---they aren't in the Armed Forces and if they ended up being shark bait, well, no one really needs to know about it---now do they?!

In Vietnam, how did a soldier in the bush know if he was in Cambodia?

If you are writing a book, sorry, you would just have to work harder instead of getting ideas from this forum. First of all, the U.S. Forces would never capture anyone in international waters.

I think we would probably bring them here and give them the asylum they were seeking in the first place.

Liberals would make us send them back, like they did with Elian Gonzalez.

We all know how Liberals would react. It would be worse than their screaming about the terrorists' treatment at Gitmo.
