I was sent an e-mail to go on the oprah show . all i did was answer survey's. was this just hoax. for me to order merchindise?

Yes Mary it is. I received the same e-mail. If you've ever done a survey on line you will be bombarded with this kind of junk. The catch is as you said, you got to sign up for services from two different sponsors.
