Nearly every school that has a graduate program has one in economics.

Many of the best private schools for Economics will only accept students into their PhD programs. They will often give out an MS as a booby prize to those who don't finish -- but rarely take on terminal master's students.

That leaves second tier schools and many of the better state universities as places that you should look.

Your best bet is to look at the best public universities in your state and see if they offer a terminal master's in economics.

The best graduate programs in economics are MIT, Chicago, Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Penn, etc. Most only offer PhDs -- though Princeton does have a terminal master's degree in financial economics through their economics department.
