My pit is a sweetie. We take him out to festivals, etc. One day a toddler was approaching him with a piece of a sandwich in his hand (he was 2 or so), & the mother asked if he was safe. I said that he might take the sandwich, but he wouldn't bite him. He didn't even do that. He licked his face. Later on, he was crying. I think he was tired & he came over & licked his face again to try to comfort him & he laughed. Does that answer your question? I also have a teaching degree....elementary ed.

In the last 2 weeks in Dallas, Texas, 3 children were attacked by pitbulls. Only two survived. They are not a good breed to have around children.

Pit bulls are good with children. Sort of.

Good at mauling them.

Good at killing them.

Good at crippling them.

Pit bulls also think children taste good.

Most are OK with children, but they do have the highest rate of harming children than any other breed.

At the top of the list of breeds that commonly have problems with children is the pit bull.
