The itching is more than likely a yeast infection.
If you're not sexually active then yeast infections are caused by antibiotics or bubble baths. Your mother will be able to help you. As to the rest of your questions ... in due time sweety ... nothing you can do to hurry it along.
OK SEEN YOUR LATEST RESPONSES......
YOU'RE already showing signs of starting your period! That STUFF is vaginal mucous which means you're ovulating!

Don't worrying about being the last in your class. Growing up is no race, I promise you that.
If you are especially itchy and have greenish "stuff in an unwanted place" you could have a yeast infection- which you should probably get checked out by a doctor and take medication for. Yeast infections are common and are just an overgrowth of bacteria that needs to be controlled- so don't worry if you have one.
If the "stuff in an unwanted place" is just clear or light colored- it is completely normal and everyone gets it. (females at least) Usually when you start getting that "stuff" it means that you will start your period within the year. Don't worry about it and don't think about it. Ages vary- I was 12, my best friend was 14. Good luck :-) And I'm sorry you don't have a mom!

Just because your friends at age 12 have had their period doesn't make you any different than them, everyone is gets them at different ages, I have heard of and have known teen not to get them until they were 17/18 years old. Don't rush it, it will come soon enough. Signs of a period is also different for everyone; Feeling bloated, chest tenderness, chocolate cravings, grumpy at times even when it doesn't seem like you should be, lower back pain, pain in that area(in or on), headaches, irritated, and usually hairs start growing in places before that also. Itching on the other hand could mean a yeast infection. You could ask your school nurse about it or even your family doctor. Sometimes it helps to know what age your mother and grandmother started their periods also. If they were later on theirs then you could be also.
Good Luck. Hopes this Helps.

Okay let's see, Your probably itchy cause your going to start growing pubic hair and the noraml signs of puberty are getting pubic and underarm hair, you may or may not get cramps with your first period you'll just have to be patient hon. Your young, enjoy it and everybody develops in there own time. Don't stress you'll probably be going through all the motions of being a woman soon enough and feel like most women and hate your period and be reaching for the midol to releive your cramps. Don't grow up to fast sweety, just be happy to be a kid.

Go to the library or the bookstore and get a book for girls that has all these things in it. The one I bought for my daughter was "All about girls". It sounds like to me that you are just starting puberty and you will not start your period until you have some pubic hair. If you are having a discharge you could have a yeast infection (vaginitis) and if you also are experiencing itchy you probably do. There are over the counter products for that. If you have a close female relative please talk to her about this.

You don't have to worry about getting your period late. I got my period at 10. I had pubic hair at 8. I barely had breast. Your period may feel like you have to do number 2, but when u go to the bathroom, u see blood. Don't be alarmed! The itchy stuff maybe just the discharge you get just before you start your period. So, it may be around the corner soon.

Sometimes if it's itchy for several days it could be a sign of a yeast infection, and can be treated with over the counter medication. But talk to your mom or another trusted adult friend.
Don't be too worried about not having started yet. We used to call it "the curse" because it makes you feel bitchy, it can start when you are least prepared (like camping out in the middle of nowhere) or on a long road trip with the family you babysit for.

if it itches a lot talk to the nurse or your mom, something could be wrong
as far as not wanting to be the last in your class...don't worry about it. Periods are a pain in the butt to deal with and I personally was very glad I didn't start until I was 14. That is 2 years less than most of my friends having to deal with it. When we got older they admitted they were kind of jealous that I didn't have to deal with it and risk embarassing situations in middle school like they did.

Aw u poor thing with no mam! Why not talk to a close female relative ((aunties e.t.c)). By the way the 'stuff' is probably discharge and you should have it from 6 months to a year before your periods start, and just because your friends have their periods doesn't mean you should. Every girl is unique.
