I have a denison barb (rose-line shark) that has developed a big lump in it's throat. The other denison barbs and several tiger barbs recently had a parasite that was making them skip the backs of their heads of the ornaments and gravel. I treated the tank, and they seem to be ok now - but I'm not sure about the lump. Any insight will be appreciated...

That is a tough one. My first reaction to a lump in the throat is a parasite, but given that the tank was recently treated the odds of that are significantly reduced. If you can provide a little additional information it would really help narrow the field a bit.
What did you treat for recently and what was the medication you used?
Describe the lump a bit more. Does it appear to be internal or on the skin of the fish? It there any discoloration around on on the lump? Is it smooth and very round (like a BB or small ball under the skin or is it less regular in shape than that?
Please add any additional info you can thing of. Eating habits, activity level etc.... anything at all that you have noticed about the fish in question. Add this to the question and I'll check back in a little while or you can also feel free to email the info to me. If there is any way at all you can get a photo of the affected fish and as much of a close up of the affected area, that would certainly help as well.
