It's good you both agree. Through out our marriage we have switched sides more than a few times. Whenever we have moved it seems I get the side closest to the door, because I'm the one that gets up with the kids in the middle of the night and I'm also the first one up in the morning. So whichever side of the bed that is, that's the side I have. It's never been discussed though. It just seems to work out that way. Right now I sleep on the right, but whenever we sell this house and buy another, who knows. Some things in life are a mystery..................

Mine slept on the right side. Past tense there now I have the whole bed to myself. But I still sleep on the left side. I had a lady friend over she wanted the left side, I didn't know if I could. Well I didn't get any sleep that night being that I was over on her side of the bed lol

In my opinion ,the man should sleep on the side closest to the door.
It all depends on the person I guess.
I usually sleep on whichever side I lay down on
Standing at the foot of the bed looking at it,I sleep on the left hand side.
I guess it depends on what wall the headboard is against.
If I moved my headboard to a different wall,I would switch side if it put me futher away from the door.

My wife sleeps on the left side of the bed as that
is where she likes to sleep, but to me it really does
not matter just as long as she is beside me when
we're sleeping.

Apparently you have one side of your bed up against the wall? When sleeping, do you sleep on you back, stomach, left side or right side. If your bed is not up against the wall, what does it matter?

Wherever she's comfortable. There are no right and wrong sides to sleep on. Let's have one thing in life without rules and regulations. Pick the side you're most comfortable in and sleep well.

I sleep on the right and my wife on the left, just the way we have always slept together.

To me it don't matter what side of the bed each spouse sleeps on.

It's so much nicer to kind of wind up in the middle together - over and under :-)

Realizing, of course -- each bedroom is different, and the side of the bed has its own advantages / disadvantages to door location, window locations, furniture, etc. ... how about a coin toss to see who gets which side? :-)
