Depends on where you live. But mostly due to the fact that most people aren't use to seeing black women and white men dating, like we see with black men and white women. Secondly, it has something to do with a double standard, because women are expected to date within their race while men can do whatever. Finally, most people don't like the idea of interracial dating, no matter what your gender or ethnicity. We are all apart of the human race, so it shouldn't matter who we date as long as we like the person for them not their race.

I don't really know, I think maybe it's when it comes to looks and spot light, it always shine on women. Women are viewed as eye candy, and beauty, and also it seems the lighter you are, the more recognition you get for being beautiful. White women don't get bent on White men being with other races, to where as a White man would find it out more so to see a Black man with a White women. Same thing with Black men, they see it wrong or odd a White man dating a Black woman. Then there are stereotypes that come with it. People think the Black woman is with the White man for money. It shouldn't matter who dates or loves who.

Isn't a black man dating a white woman the same as a black woman dating a black woman? I thought it went both ways? It takes two people to date.

My friend and I were just talk about this very thing just the other day... We came up with this answer... We think it's because we are so used to seeing black guys with white women and not so much the other way around. It's the same thing, but it's just not very common.... We are totally not against it cause my firend and I both date black guys, it's just not common to see a black girl with a white guy. Hope this answers your question...

I don't think it's society, it's more people's own race. From what I've seen, some and I said some!, feel threatened by a black woman dating a white woman.

I don't think so.

wow roytochaps, don't you think that's a bit of a sterotypical statement. Every race of ppl has their haters. Black girls aren't the only haters out there. So expand your mind a little for crying out loud it's 2007!!

It is'nt.

Back in the day, they told White girls that Black guys were the devil and that they had tails...it's just that you don't see too much of Black girl/ White guy togetherness...I guess Black girls like to stay within the race.
