The "Battling Bucs" are back!!
No doubt I'm excited! If you look back, I've actually called the Pirates one of the surprise teams of this season. My thoughts going into the season were that they were going to have to depend a lot on their Starting pitching and production from the leadoff spot. So far their starting pitching has been stellar. The defense was great in the first two games, not so much in the third. The leadoff spot production hasnt quite been there, but they've gotten some very timely hits (and a little bit of luck on the Chris Burke and Adam Everett errors) but these first three games are games that Pirate teams of the past 14 years would lose with regularity. For them to have won the way they won is cause for some excitement. They definitely have some tough series' coming up with Cincinnati and St. Louis, so it should be interesting to see if they can continue their mini streak. Here's hoping they continue to Raise the Jolly Roger throughout the season!

I am very happy to see the Pirates go 3-0 at the start and especially since it is on the road it makes it even more pleasurable . I will be more excited if they can play consistent baseball all year and prove the critoca and the skeptics wrong for a change and get the monkey off their back for the consecutive losing seasons in a row that they have from 1993 through 2006.

I am happy for them. I would love to see them go far. They will be a sleeper. Them and the Brewers in the central. Cards pitching is bad as with the outfield. I dont expect much from them. The Cubs, though spent lots of money, will falter. Astros just dont have the offense. I like the Bucs/Brewers to do well this year.

Wait till about game 20. Then by the 6th inning almost all of the people in Pirate Stadium will have EXITED. Because when you're down 7 runs in the 6th inning its hard to get EXCITED

I think that the Pirates have done really well. It has to be exciting for a team that doesn't win that often. But, I am a Cubs fan, so to answer your question, no, I really don't care.
