What are some good ones?

I love:

"The Hurricane" this is probably the best one ever. A middle weight boxer grows up in a time where prejudism is used against him. When a murder happens at the same time he is out and about, a detective who has put him in jail before uses others to put him in prison for life. For 20+ years he must fight the system to prove his innosense.

"Men of Honor" this was an amazing story. Carl Brishard, a black who wanted nothing more then to be in the navy and soon discovers a want to be a diver. Everyone wants him out but he will go the distance just to prove his ability.

It's all about oppression in the 30's and is an under-rated Spielberg masterpiece.
It's a film I cry at every time I see it.

You also have 'Finding Forrester', 'Introducing Dorothy Dandridge' and 'Glory'.

Those are some good ones about overcoming obstacles and prejudices.

halle berry as dorothy dandridge was a good one. sad ending though.

There's this one movie where this guy is ridiculed because of the color of his skin. So he just moves away and hides out until one day, all these people that ridiculed him now need him. So he saves the day. Green skin and all! I think they called him 'Shrek' ;-)
