it says its all rock but ironically enough its got some rap and r & B stuff as well so i guesss that apart of rock music go figure.

i personally think that number 2 r.e.m. - losing my religion should be def. moved down a couple spots, and that third eye blind - semi-charmed life should be moved up some notches that song still comes on my todays mainstream mix station once a week still.

what are your opinions on each and every song and where its at on this list, specifically asking people who grew up listening to this stuff in the 90's (probably about in there 20's now).

I'm 43 but a big music buff. Leave REM right where it's at, but put Queensryche's "Silent Lucidity" up into the Top 20 already!

The rap screws this whole list up.

The list here is songs that made a HUGE impact, seeded way too low on that chart:
Van Halen - Right Now
Kid Rock - Bawitdaba
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Bruce Springsteen - Streets Of Philadelphia
Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance
Offspring - Come Out And Play
Black Crowes - She Talks To Angels (not even on the list!!)

And the most glaring error:
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

Lose 90% of the R&B and put actual rock songs on it.

it seems to focus on what was popular and not the good music which actually influenced most of that. the alt rock like stone roses, sonic youth and my bloody valentine. the pop punk like green day and offspring and the early rap and hip-hop such as nwa and de la soul.

Smooth did not become a hit until the 2000's so that doesn't really count. Rage Against the Machine are highly overrated, they do not belong on there. Geto Boys? really....

"One" should be number 2 in my opinion. It is pure genius!! And hey, good luck getting someone on here to take all their time and answer this how you want them too!
