It was plotting a coup to overthrow the government of oil-rich Equatorial Guinea that her son was arrested for. He inherited his father's baronetcy when he died and so is called Sir Mark. He was staying with her in London after being asked to leave South Africa; I lived a few blocks from her and saw him twice.

Carol presented a TV program last week in which she visited the Falklands (where they love her mother) and Argentina (where they hate her).

Yes, at least one son. He was famously arrested in Africa, for something absurd, and paid a quarter of a million USD, and I am not sure he was imprisoned, but was greatly put out by all of it. I prayed for him, as the British government didn't seem to take much interest in his situation. His mother served the United Kingdom for quite a few years, in a gentle and rational capacity. Many Americans admired and respected her.
