We are all orbiting the sun at different speeds counterclockwise looking down from the north pole. The sun and the planets are also orbiting the galaxy and the galaxy is moving toward the Andromeda Galaxy.

No were not just standing still. In our galaxy, our planets orbit around the Sun. But there is no center to the universe so I guess you could say we are "continually speeding through space". But its not really in a "particular" direction...

All planets rotate on their axis.
All planets revolve around the sun.
The sun revolves around the galactic centre, plus it moves up and down in a sine curve in the plane of the galactic disk.
The galaxy is orbiting the centre of gravity of our Local Group.
The Local Group is orbiting the centre of gravity of the Virgo Super Cluster.
The Super Cluster is moving along with the expansion of the universe.

Nothing is standing still, even though we may not notice the motion.

Our planets (..the solar system..) are constantly in motion. Here's a breakdown of all the motions we're experiencing right now --

Earth rotates on its axis at about 1,035 miles per hour;

Earth orbits around the sun at 67,108 miles per hour;

The sun and our planets move around the Milky Way Galaxy at 559,234 miles per hour

Our whole Milky Way Galaxy and everything in it including Earth and our planets is moving through the universe at 1,342,161 miles per hour.

You getting dizzy yet..? : - )

All planets move around the sun they perform two movements called REVOLUTION and ROTATION,the rotation of the planets is considered a day and the revolution a year.
