I've sold on eBay fulltime for 5 years. I've not had a problem with being approached to sell to Nigeria. If someone buys and pays, it wouldn't matter where it was being sent but I'd ensure the emails were sent thru the eBay system. I sell lots overseas though. It's a great market.

On ebay best thing is NEVER to buy from abroad and NEVER sell abroad.
There are a lot of scammers now who buy your stuff, pay by paypal then say they never received it or it was damaged or some other excuse. They report you to paypal and next thing you know is paypal taken money back out of your account so you sold the item for free plus selling fees.
Buy on ebay then pay by paypal, sell on ebay accept cheques only then those greedy scamming Ba**ards out there won't rip you off.

Be sure to get the money before you ship any items! This is just common sense on your part. I have had an eBay business for two years now, and haven't been scammed yet! In case you're interested, I started my eBay business when a buddy of mine introduced the below product to me. It helps you get your eBay business started, as well as show you how to manage it! Is also has a section of do's and don'ts...

I sell on ebay.
The problem with Nigerians pay with a stolen credit card through Western Union, then after you send the item the company does a chargeback, so you lose the money. it is best to avoid selling items like new phones, electronics, expensive watches etc... because of fraud risk
Also Singapore is a high risk destination

I have a small store on E-bay and I quit shipping overseas... it became to much trouble. Only if someone contacts me and they have a lot of good feedback do I make that effort...Beware of overseas areas... you will get all sorts of things in your email also don't ever open it... it can give you a virus.... Anything that sounds to good to be true usually is....

I never had much luck with shipping overseas. There is a higher likelihood of fraud, and shipping can be outrageous for them. I mostly like to sell clothing, havent done so in a while.

My advice on Nigerian buyers - don't deal with them. Most of them are out to scam you out of money.
Please email me directly and I can share more information with you.
