Green has a ring already. He got it when he was still with the Rams..granted he was on IR but he still has one.

I love Trent Green and I got to say that its kind of an insult to him to compare him to McNabb. He puts up much better numbers than Donovan. He doesn't get the recognition because the Chiefs never go anywhere when they get to the Playoffs and because the Chiefs offense is based around a very strong running game. Guys like Manning (who always beats the Chiefs) and Brady (3 Superbowl rings) always overshadow him, especially in the big game. He does deserve more respect than hes gotten, though. Since he became a Chief, only Manning and Favre have put up better numbers in the major passing categories than Trent Green. He runs what is probably the most complicated offense in the NFL and does a great job of it. I really hope he can shake off last year and come back and play great for the Chiefs, but last year may have been it in the yellow and red for him.
GO CHIEFS!!!!!
Just a little extra info to respond to some of the posts below:
titan - Green has better numbers than McNabb in every category except INT.
antwaan - Green has thrown for 3500 yards (4000 yards 3 times) every year he's been with KC except last year when he missed 8 games. I do agree that hes past his prime, though.

As a Dolphins fan, I don't hate Trent Green, but I think it's the same story, different person. Look at how great Daunte Culpepper was at one point. He was in the prime of his career and was an excellent quarterback. Then his injury set him far back, and he still obviously hasn't healed yet. Trent Green has done great things for Kansas City, but I just don't think he is at the same level anymore, a combination of his concussion and his age. He just can't move the same way anymore. I don't think he is the solution to the Miami quarterback problem- I see essentially the same situation repeated all over again than what was done with Daunte - Miami just thinks that they can magically take older and injured quarterbacks and have them lead their struggling offfense to a title... yes experience helps but it's not everything. So Trent Green was a good quarterback no doubt, but I think he is on the downhill and won't make mark to where he once was.

Well, in my opinion the reason he isn't recognized as the very good quarterback he has been at times is due to several facts. First, there is the fact that he has been a journeyman quarterback, playing for three different teams (so far) in his career and looking now at playing for a fourth next year. Secondly, he has some injury problems, which have led some to write him off as somewhat fragile. And also, the system at Kansas City seems to suit him well, which leads to speculations that he may be successful due to the system more than due to his own abilities. Depending on where he ends up playing next season, he may either prove that he is a very good player overall, or he may be viewed as a journeyman who needs a friendly system to excel. Either way, because he doesn't have a lot of successful playoff experience and he's been with three teams with varying levels of success (not entirely his fault), he'll probably never be considered as skilled or as good as a Farve, Peyton, or even Brady.

When you think Packers, the common fan, thinks Farve.
When you think Colts, the common fan thinks, Manning.
When you think Chiefs, the common fan thinks Johnson.
It's pretty much how it goes. For the basic fan, they think of the star players that get the media attention.
I for one have never undervalued Green. He has helped me to win quite a few Fantasy Football Championships.
Green didn't really lose his job with the Rams, he was injured and the Rams decided to stick with Warner, that was their mistake.
Another note as to why people tend to not consider Green a solid QB is, how many people could name the WRs for the team? He compiled those numbers in KC with WRs that most people wouldn't know the names of(not counting Tony of course).
These days tho, age and injuries are what is causing his value to drop. In the NFL, that pretty much spells disaster.

He wasnt that good years ago with the Redskins, and is getting pretty high up there in years so look for a decline soon. Has had some problems with injuries, examples obviously when he was with the rams and missed a good part of last year as well with a concussion. It could be his team too, Damon Huard stepped in for him when he was hurt and put up spectacular numbers. Yes this is the same Damon Huard that is a journeyman backup who backed up Dan Marino for a couple years down in Miami

Because he hasn't won a ring...basically. And without a ring, you need Marino or Warren Moon like numbers to matter. Farve has a ring and McNabb went to the SB and has been close before that.
