The company contacts the bank branch you deal with and inform them that they have completed paperwork for a request for Direct Deposit of funds. They then inform the bank what kind of pay cycle to expect (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, etc), and refer to the appropriate bank account, based on the information you provide (generally in the form of a blank cheque plus a completed form).

You give them your banking routing number and your account number.Then they can direct deposit your paychecks into your account.
