I have a tank with 5 different African Cichlids in it. The yellow lab looks like it may be carrying eggs. How should I care for it? How many could it have in there? What are the chances of survival for the fry if I do not remove them or the other fish from the aquarium?

Well, just keep an eye on her. probably has a place she likes to hide, or a favorite rock. when they start gettin to big for her to hold, shell start spittin out on a rock, or when shes hungry. when you see this, your gonna have to move the fry. take everything out of the tank and catch her with a net. you need another small tank, or a gallon jar w/ a airstone in it. the tank should be bare
w/ only sand or small gravel...catch her in the net....wet your hand, get ahold of her,,,rub underneath her chin
have a net half way in water and shell start spittin the fry out. depending how big this fish is theres at least 25-40 or more. you should be able to do this in 20 seconds, or so , she isnt out of the water that long. move the fry too....if thr able to swim..turn um loose, if not leave them in the net w/ an airstone under on enough to create good water circulation around them. feed them crushed up green flake food, an if you have vitiamns...what ever it says when you chg water. change water gallon jar...8ozs a day, larger amount..20%
every 3 days. do the water chgs an theyll be sellable in 3-4 wks. around 3/4-1" thr ready. I bred these fish for about 5 yrs, an had 450 gals of fish tanks.

the parents are meant to guard the fry. they might desire to be incubated by the parents. yet no concerns, you will guard them. the water could be from the parents tank. the temp could be 26 ranges celsius or greater. there could be a sponge clear out that's working softly so that's no longer to reliable that it may circulate the fry. you could quite have a cave of a few variety and launch the eggs(fry that are nevertheless interior the eggs such as you have) into the cave so as that they'll think of the cave is their mothers mouth whilst they hatch. the fry could be fed small ingredients like infusoria, brine shrimp, microworms, and flora(that have nutrition on them). my chum has reared electric yellow fry until now and that i've got heard how he did it. he effectively took care of the fry and acquired them. yet he in ordinary terms did it because of fact the mummy died whilst she had the eggs interior her mouth. you could no longer do this yet too previous due. desire they proceed to exist.

I feel like you are going to be lucky if you see any of the fry.
