do any of you who have had a c-section shave in that area where you were cut? I mean I still have hair that grows but not a lot and I was wondering if it wouls sting if I actually shaved it myself or perhaps got a wax....I don't like hair right there and it is easy to shave under the scar just not on the scar....any suggestions or advice? 10 pts to the best answer! Thank you for your time!~

You can shave over the area very carefully, I have to warn you it itches really bad when the hair grows back in. you can also try something like Nair or other hair removals Good luck to you and God bless!
I need to add that I had my C-sec 6 months ago and I am a still a but tender and I have no problem, again, gentle and clean blade.

I had a c-section a few days after Christmas. I have since shaved twice. At first I was scared but I decided to give it a try. It didn't really bother me at all! Just take it easy and don't use to much pressure with the razor.

I am numb from the incision to halfway to my bellybutton. It is a weird feeling when touched in those areas. Almost a disturbing feeling. According to the doctor I may always have those sensations due to cutting of muscles and nerves. A c-section is a major surgery! One I do believe that has been taken lightly.

I would be afraid of waxing the area though, that just seems to rough for me.

I had a c-section almost 6 years ago and i shave and it does not bother me any at all. I use my husband's razor (Mach 3). I shave on the scar and it does not hurt or anything like that.
I would say that it would really hurt to have it waxed (Something i will never do).
Just be careful when shaving but i swear it does not bother me to shave.

I had a c-section 2 1/2 years ago and I shave that area. My incision is not sore or tender though. I could not imagine going in for a wax there. I have my eyebrows done, but don't have to take my pants off to do it...lol.

I've had 4 c-sec and shave. Waxing even after 4yrs hurt bad. Shaving didnt sting for me but you may be more sensitive.

I am all for natural birthing! I feel sorry for the women who wanted a natural birth and were given a c-section because of bad labor management on behalf of their physicians. However I do not feel that a c-section birth is less superior to a vaginal birth. Each birthing experience is different for each woman. What's important is that the baby comes out safe and sound. If you chose to have elective c-sections for personal reasons, and non-medical reasons, then that's your business, not mine, as long as you make that decision an informed one and with your baby's welfare in mind.

Yes. I've had three c-sections...year after year. My last one was 14 months ago. I hate having hair down there too, so i started shaving six months after the surgery. I have to take it easy though, don't push the razor down to hard. After you do it, you'll have to rub some Aveeno lotion on it, or else it'll itch like crazy!

.I shave there but I have to be very careful I have no feeling in that general area. I would ask your doctor about waxing ...everyone scar/skin is different.
