did you introduce juice. I also am planning on only giving juice in a sippy cup which we haven't introduced yet also. Does anyone have any advice for me to make this a smooth transaction for baby and me?

Talk to your baby's doctor. Some on here will tell you to give juice earlier than they should because they did it with their kids years ago, but recommendations have changed because of the amount of children with weight problems.

Everyone is going to have something different to say. All I can tell you is what I have done with both of my children. My daughter (now 5yrs) was given 50/50 of water and juice. BUT, only after she started taking the sippy which was at 8 months. My son started taking the sippy at 6 months. I started the sippy cup with the both of them at 6 months and introducted it at lunch time. I also made it readily avail to them ALL of the time so that there were no issues with weaning off of the bottle. Both did GREAT and were off of the bottle at 12 months!!
Alos, try using a sippy cup that has the soft rubber sipper on it rather than the hard ones. They are more excepting of it when it more like the bottle. Gerber sells some really nice ones.

Well if you listen to the dr's, at 9 mths to 1 yr. If you listen to mommy's who are "old school" then at about 6 mths. Smooth transition for sippys is get the ones with the soft plastic like the nipples on a bottle, after awhile then you can switch to the ones that are the harder plastic.

My son is almost 7mo old and is on a sippy cup and I will not give him juice. It's nothng but suger and he likes water anyway. Maybe when he's a little older I will, but for now, it's not necessary.
